You will need a few items to get your started: a bunch of fresh basil, two quarts of water a teaspoon of sea salt and a paintbrush. The best time to perform this spell is during a waning moon when the sun or moon is in Cancer. Oddly enough, it is also believed to be more effective if cast on Mondays.

First, heat the water in a pot and add the basil and the sea salt. You need to simmer for about ten minutes. Once this is complete, separate the water from the basil and dip your paintbrush in the water. Now go around your house and paint a pentagram on all entrances to your home.

Next, dry the basil leaves, crumble them and sprinkle them around your property. This will continue your protection to the areas surrounding your home.

All homes can benefit from a protection spell. If you have never dabbled in magic, this is a good spell to perform as it is simple and easy to follow. Make sure to perform this ritual properly and completely, as an incomplete spell will not protect your home.
